T'ai Chi Ch'uan
Tai Chi, as it is practiced in the west today, can perhaps be thought of as a moving form of meditation. There are a number of forms (sometimes also called (‘sets‘) which consist of a sequence of movements. Many of these movements are originally derived from the martial arts (and perhaps even more ancestrally than that, from the natural movements of animals and birds) although the way they are performed in Tai Chi is slowly, softly and gracefully with smooth and even transitions between them.
After training you don‘t feel fatigue but more relaxed and full of vitality. The purpose of training is to rebalance and to restore the mind/body so that you stay healthy and strong.
"The goal is not to demonstrate strength, power or violence. The goal is to attain serenity, tranquility, and the discovery of oneself. It is truly an exercise of the spirit." Master Tung Kai Ying speaking on the Chinese art of T‘ai Chi Ch‘uan.

Reiki is a holistic technique for stress relief, which supports the body’s natural ability to relax and heal. Conducted in a peaceful atmosphere, the practitioner uses various hand positions on or above the client’s body, allowing the energy to assist the client in relaxing and restoring energetic balance for good health and a sense of well-being.

Reiki is gentle, yet powerful, and is experienced as a light, radiant touch. No pressure or manipulation is involved, making it appropriate for everyone and a wonderful complement to medical treatment.

Reiki can replenish energy, reduce stress, promote pain relief and aid in emotional comfort as it works on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels. Results can range from subtle to profound.

I became a Certified Reiki Master-Teacher in 1995. I love the peace and relaxation that Reiki brings to both my clients and to myself. It is my honor to practice and my pleasure to teach Reiki at Roots Natural Foods, where I bring total compassion and integrity to my work.

I encourage you to experience the balance of Reiki and I welcome all clients and students.

Be well!
